Blurb:
I was making out with my boyfriend when violent pounding shook the door. Words appeared like subtitles: [Sweetie, maybe check who’s actually in bed with you?] [The male lead thinks their binding contract means he’s the only one. Little does he know about his identical twin brother!] Before I could process, an enraged roar echoed: “Kervin Vance, get out here!” My name is Tessa, a succubus Leo Vance found on the street. Sex is how I feed. He hadn’t fed me for two weeks because I supposedly “bullied” Chloe. I insisted I didn’t—I just asked her to stop calling during our limited time. Leo accused me of humiliating her with money, but I stood my ground: “If she finds money insulting, that’s her problem.” Fed up, he banished me to Pinecrest Manor to starve and reflect. But no one knew what the bonding contract truly meant… until his twin brother Kervin showed up. Now, faced with identical men and my desperate hunger, will I break the contract or discover double the pleasure?

I was mid-makeout with my boyfriend when a violent pounding shook the bedroom door.
I blinked, drowsy. Was that someone knocking?
But he just nipped at my earlobe, his voice rough and muffled. No, Baby. You misheard.
Words floated across my vision like subtitles:
[Sweetie, maybe take a closer look at who’s actually in bed with you?]
[OMG, the male lead thinks their binding contract means he’s the only one. Little does he know about his identical twin brother!]
[Oho~ double the pleasure! No more starving for our girl! Lucky thing!]
Before I could process it,
A man’s voice, a man’s enraged, trembling roar echoed from the hallway, “Kervin Vance, get your ass out here!”
My name is Tessa, and I’m a succubus Leo Vance found on the street. Sex is how I feed.
Because I supposedly “bullied” Chloe, he hadn’t fed me for two whole weeks.
I stubbornly repeated, “I didn’t bully her! I just asked her to stop calling you in the middle of the night! Otherwise, I never get enough…”
The man lifted icy eyes. “And you think you’re justified?”
He glanced at his phone, at the message from Chloe saying she wanted to cut ties. His tone grew more impatient. “You’ve been with me this long, learned nothing useful, but you’ve certainly mastered the art of using money to humiliate people.”
“I didn’t insult her,” I insisted.
His scrutinizing gaze was freezing, but I held my ground. “If she finds money insulting, that’s her problem. I think money is the best thing in the world.”
Besides, it was her fault.
I only got to feed once a week, on Sunday nights.
It was never enough for a high-level succubus like me. And her calls constantly interrupted us.
Every time the phone rang, she was either being harassed by punks at some diner or drunk off her ass needing a ride home.
Leo would leave immediately, leaving me perpetually half-starved.
So, I went to see her privately. Slid her some cash. Asked if she could maybe call at a different time.
She acted as if I’d mortally insulted her. Clenching her jaw, she stomped on the bills and bit out,. “Miss Tessa,” she enunciated coldly, “rest assured, I have zero interest in your boyfriend. I wouldn’t give someone as arrogant and wealthy as him the time of day. I turned down his advances more than ten times before you even met.”
“‘Let’s just be friends,’ he said. I never imagined you’d be so insecure.”
Her sneered, full of contempt.
“Honestly, you’re acting like I’ve done something shameful. Tell him I won’t bother him again. I wouldn’t want to be mistaken for his mistress.”
She turned and walked away, her spine straight and proud, the kind of defiance some men find irresistible.
I mulled over her words. The conclusion? She wouldn’t disturb my feeding time anymore.
But before I could even feel relieved, Leo found out.
The man known for his cool elegance lost his temper with me for the first time.
He was convinced I’d bullied Chloe and was refusing to admit it.
“A proud woman like her, asking for help was hard enough. And you? You obliterated the last shred of her dignity.”
Tears welled, but I repeated stubbornly, “…But it wasn’t my fault.”
I was always obedient, but I dug my heels in on this.
After a few rounds, his patience vanished.
“Clearly, you need a lesson to remember your place.”
He loosened his tie, rising impatiently. “The Pinecrest Manor is sitting empty. Perfect for you to go reflect.”
“Stay there until you learn to behave. And you’ll stay hungry. Who else do you think can feed you now?”
Meeting the warning in his eyes, I fought back tears. “Fine! I don’t need you to feed me anyway!”
I’m a high-level succubus! Men are a dime a dozen!
He gave a cold, dismissive snort.
No one knew better than him what the bonding contract meant.
Anger fueled me for days. I was stubborn, pushing through three days, then another three, until I was dizzy with hunger, my legs weak.
Still, I refused to call him.
The best way to tame a creature is to drive it to the brink, let it exhaust all its strength, and then appear as its savior.
Leo Vance was always a patient hunter.
Summer was sticky and stormy.
On the tenth day locked in the mansion, a thunderstorm raged outside.
I hugged my weary body, burying my face in my knees, my damp eyes constantly drifting to the window.
I thought, if Leo showed up now…
I could forgive him. A little.
Every thunderstorm before, he’d drop work, pull me into his arms. Chide me coldly for being “pathetic” while wiping the tears from my eyes.
But now? The manor was silent.
Not even a phone call.
I sniffled, burying my face deeper, trying to disappear.
Suddenly, a crash of thunder and a flash of lightning lit up the living room. The front door burst open, letting in a gust of wind and rain.
I looked up, startled.
A figure in a red racing suit stood there, utterly unexpected.
Cool, tall, with wet blond hair, his features were both strange and familiar.
My body reacted before my mind.
Tears I’d been holding back spilled over.
I dropped the pillow, ran barefoot across the floor, and threw myself into his arms.
“Leo!”
I was still angry.
But the moment my arms wrapped around his waist, overwhelming, suffocating hurt surged up first.
“I hate you…” I pounded his chest, tears falling despite myself. “I hate you so, so much…”
A cold, wet hand suddenly clamped around my wrist.
The man pushed me back slightly, his voice flippant and lazy. “Hey there. Fprward, aren’t we?”
Maybe it was the wet hair falling over his brow.
He seemed less severe.
The red racing suit added a reckless, playful edge.
Something felt different about this Leo.
But I was starving, my head foggy. Just confused. “Why are you dressed like that?”
I remembered Leo despised racing.
He circled my feverish wrist, frowning.
“You’re here alone?”
I felt puzzled. “Didn’t you tell me to stay here and reflect?”
He scanned the living room, his hand reaching for my forehead.
I leaned back, dazed.
He clicked his tongue. “Running this hot and you don’t know you’re sick?”
Sick?
I touched my cheek, bewildered.
