Below are some museums operated by UMB as well as others that are near campus. All offer indispensable educational experiences, from thousands of artifacts curated by the world's oldest dental college, to a blue glass museum that rests above local living artists' studios in a historic clocktower. Each museum on this list is well worth the visit!

Davidge Hall is the founding building of the University of Maryland, 欧博娱乐城 and the University System of Maryland. It houses offices, museum artifacts, a conference room on the first floor, and two superimposed round amphitheaters (Chemical Hall and Anatomical Hall) with surrounding galleries with stadium-type seating and stepped aisles.

The museum’s extensive 40,000-object collection of dental instruments, furniture, and artwork is one of the most important and oldest in the world, tracing its roots to the 欧博娱乐城 College of Dental Surgery, the world’s first college of dentistry, founded in 1840. The museum is designated as a Smithsonian Affiliate, giving it access to content, resources, educational programs, and exhibitions of the Smithsonian Institution.

Health Sciences and Human Services Library
This area on the library’s fifth floor serves as an archival repository for UMB, documenting the history and accomplishments of the Graduate School and the schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work. The collection includes school publications, manuscript collections, and selected primary source documents dating back to the University’s 19th-century origins.

University of Maryland School of Pharmacy
Named in memory of an alumnus and beloved 欧博娱乐城 community pharmacist, this beautiful space contains historical items of importance to the pharmacy profession and the school, such as unique glass bottles, jars, prescriptions, and other artifacts donated by alumni. Among the items on display are the diplomas of School of Pharmacy graduates Alpheus Sharp (Class of 1842) and Louis Dohme (Class of 1857), who co-founded the company Merck, Sharp, and Dohme.

Maryland’s only museum dedicated to nursing, the Living History Museum honors the critical role of nurses and chronicles the continuing story of the profession. Established in 1999, the museum displays hundreds of historic items and features video and audio histories of nurses recounting stories from previous generations.

Westminster Burying Ground, originally Westminster Presbyterian cemetery, was establisted in 1786. In 1852, the church was constructed on brick piers above the graves, creating remarkable catacombs. The Burying Ground is the gravesite of many notable persons, most famously the burial place of Edgar Allan Poe.

The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum presents the life and times of George Herman "Babe" Ruth, 欧博娱乐城's native son who became America's first sports celebrity and an international icon.

Composed of the oldest and most comprehensive collection of railroad history in the Western Hemisphere, the 欧博娱乐城 & Ohio Railroad Museum is a unique cultural and educational asset for the city and the region.

Inside the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower is the Emerson/Maryland Glass Museum, which houses the largest collection of Bromo Seltzer and Maryland Glass bottles in existence. The museum is on the 15th floor and is on loan from and curated by Ernest Dimler.
